Your Mom

The Your Mom for Todoist skill is invoked by Your Mom. The actions that Your Mom can perform for you are listed below.

Select a Todoist Project

By default, Your Mom will add tasks to your Inbox. However, you can ask Your Mom to add tasks to any of your Todoist projects. After selecting a project, Your Mom will remember your selection and add all tasks to that project until you select a different project.

TIP

Create a project called Shopping List and share it with your family members.

Command Syntax

Your Mom understands the following commands to select a project:

• use {project}
• use project {project}
• select {project}
• select project {project}
• set project to {project}
• set list to {project}
• put stuff in my {project}
• put stuff on my {project}
• put things in my {project}
• put things on {project}

Example Commands

• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to use Shopping List"
• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to put stuff on my Shopping List"

Add Tasks to the Selected Project

Your Mom will add tasks to the selected project. If the requested task already exists in the selected project, Your Mom will notice and not create a duplicate.

Command Syntax

Your Mom understands the following commands to add a task:

• add {item}
• {item}
• add {item} to the list
• add {item} to the shopping list

Example Commands

• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to add bananas"
• "Alexa, tell Your Mom milk"
• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to add eggs to the list"

Read the List of Tasks

Your Mom can read the list of tasks in the selected project. Unlike Alexa's built-in shopping list, Your Mom will read the whole list.

Command Syntax

Your Mom understands the following commands to read the list of tasks:

• read the list
• list my tasks
• list tasks
• list the tasks
• read the tasks
• list the items
• read the shopping list

Example Commands

• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to read the list"
• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to list my tasks"

Complete a Task

Command Syntax

Your Mom understands the following commands to complete a task:

• remove {item}
• complete {item}
• check off {item}
• check {item} off the list
• delete {item}

Example Commands

• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to remove bananas"
• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to check off milk"
• "Alexa, ask Your Mom to complete eggs"
